Yoshi’s New Island Let’s Play on LetsPlaysAllDay – Nostalgia and Nerdgasms – We Love It

Yoshi’s New Island Let’s Play is in full effect, and we are loving it so far! Thanks to Robby’s 3DS capture card, we are rocking full HD gameplay and bringing the nostalgia trip, the huge eggs, and live excited commentary. A quick review of the game so far — It plays JUST like the old Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island game from the SNES days that we already did a Let’s Play of on LetsPlaysAllDay. I’ve got to figure out how to switch a few controls for the exact experience, but overall, I’m very happy with my download of the game (yes, legal download from the Nintendo EShop). I nearly forgot the game came out Thursday night/Friday morning instead of the routine Tuesday or Friday evening releases, but the EShop worked brilliantly and I was able to get a fast download.

I plan on busting out the full Let’s Play as soon as humanly possible, and I hope you’ll join me for the ride, as it looks to be a very promising and fun game so far. Check out the video above and don’t forget to support LetsPlaysAllDay and ALL of our Let’s Plays, from South Park: The Stick of Truth all the way to Assassin’s Creed and everything in between. Bill and I will once again be in the same state and are on the border of some brand new surprise series as well. For now though, it’s all about Yoshi’s New Island Let’s Play and Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth. What’s your favorite part of the game so far? Let me know in the comments section of the video above, and also, what you’d like to see in future episodes of the Let’s Play. Enjoy and thanks for supporting us!

Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth Quick Review – It’s Amazing, I Love It

Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth Quick Review – It’s Amazing, I Love It

Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth has been a blast so far, and our support over on LetsPlaysAllDay has been amazing. First off, thank you guys so much for supporting that channel. It means a lot to both Bill and myself. Now that the mushy stuff is out of the way, I’ll tell you what I think of the game.

IT. IS. AWESOME! I curse the fact that I have a life outside of video games at times, but seriously…all I’ve wanted to do since the first play session is to simply play this game until I beat it. I was hooked, instantly. As a person who played Super Mario RPG and beat it as a kid, I was transported back to that style of gameplay, and after some initial rust, I’ve started to improve my gameplay and puzzle skills and get into the next level of the game. Not only do I enjoy it, but I feel that my efforts at getting better are rewarded. Oh yeah, and the game is absolutely hysterical. This is maximum effort from Matt Stone and Trey Parker and their creative team. It really feels like you’re playing an entire season of the South Park television show, or going through the South Park movie.

Now that I’m 12 Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth episodes deep (coming this weekend!), I feel pretty qualified to say that this game is a smashing success that any South Park fan, and any simpler RPG fan, will enjoy. I highly recommend it. Dust off your XBox 360 or PS3 if you need to. It’s worth it.

Look for more South Park Stick of Truth daily until I finish the game. Like Cartman said about Princess Kenny, “That’s just how he seems to be rolling right now.” Check it out on LetsPlaysAllDay!

Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth Release Date March 4 – We’re Playing It!

Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth Release Date March 4 – We’re Playing it!

Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth is coming to LetsPlaysAllDay, and we’re super excited about bringing you some South Park Stick of Truth gameplay the night the game is out. Robby’s plan is to get in for the midnight release and then run straight home and record several episodes for you guys.

Let's Play South Park Stick of Truth

With Stick of Truth being released on March 4, you can bet we’ll be pumping out the videos all night and into the next day and evening. You can choose from 4 different classes of character, and as the new kid in South Park, there’s a lot to learn and do, even from the 13 minutes of gameplay we’ve already witnessed. I found it hilarious and spot on with what the TV show offered. Even with all the delays, there’s a ton of hype surrounding this game, and frankly, I’d rather see it delayed to be made better than released early without polish.

This is shaping up to be the best game in the series and one of the best of 2014. Will it live up to the hype? Come find out with me on March 4 around 1AM EST when we release the first video here: http://www.youtube.com/letsplaysallday

We posted a video on Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth when the release date was pushed back, but the information still applies:

Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth is going to be an amazing series, and I can’t wait to bring it to you all! My plan is to make the whole series live commentary and complete the game quite quickly; I know you guys want the best of everything, and I’m planning on making this the best Let’s Play South Park Stick of Truth on the internet. Make sure you tell your friends to check out LetsPlaysAllDay; it’s gonna be big.

NBA 2K14 My Career Center Hu the Journeyman Explained – My Career PS4 Tips!

My NBA 2K14 My Career Center is Hu the Journeyman, and I wanted to tell those of you that may be confused about him what I originally created him for. A lot of you are new to 2BG Nation, so I’ll lay it out:

Hu is a wild man, plain and simple. I created him in NBA 2K11 on a whim, late at night, because I wanted something…different. Different is Hu’s whole thing in My Career. How many times have you played your normal My Career mode character in NBA 2K14 and went, “this is cool, but I want to try something new?” That’s what Hu was all about for me. I had a point guard, so why not create the most ridiculous center the game had to offer?

I set about tatting him up, giving him all sorts of weird accessories, and an unusual hair cut, and ended up with almost a punk-styled version of Chris “Birdman” Andersen, who he gets compared to a lot. I made him the maximum height for dominance and then turned out the Draft Combine with a big double double. I was having a blast.

Believe it or not, he was never set up to be a journeyman. I simply had no luck getting drafted to good teams, and when I requested trades, something would always happen where I’d get on another bad team or they’d trade away players that helped make the team good, so I decided to make it a mini-series and make a story out of it…and the rest is history. Hu the Journeyman was born.

The NBA 2K14 My Career Center series did really well, even with my terrible video quality at the time, and you can see those videos to this day on the channel. Sometime I’ll get a list together of the teams I’ve been on, because now my goal is to journey to all 30 teams.

In NBA 2K14, a lot of people have asked me for My Career Center tips, especially on post moves and rebounding on PS4. I’m planning on having some of those together soon. For now, enjoy the most recent video — my Spurs debut:
